Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year

Congratulations to my wonderful Dad on winning the 2012 Entrepreneur of the Year award in Manufacturing and Distribution for his company Action Target! I was so honored to be able to attend this award ceremony and share the excitement with my family as we watched our hard working Dad win the award! No one deserves it more than you! He will attend Nationals in November and compete against other winners from the other states! GOOD LUCK! 

 

Anniversary 2? Check!

Friday after work i headed over to Home Depot ( i had to try really hard not to type homo depo) to pick out a GRILL for Nate's anniversary present! I was going to try and surprise him but him being him the surprise was ruined with all his questions! He got his gift a couple days early so he could enjoy it for the BYU vs UTAH game that we invited his brothers over for.
Monday morning I didn't have work until 10 am and I hadn't gotten a text from Nate all morning long i was starting to get sooo bugged, i went into the kitchen to get a drink and sitting right there was a page long note Nate had left on the counter for me! All day i was trying to come up with something that would give him half of the giant smile he gave me and i was stumped! The instructions he gave me that morning were : " After work come straight home and start making dinner don't go anywhere! But you can stop at the grocery store first if you need too... " So that is what i did i stopped at smiths and picked up and couple things and forgot some.. and headed home to make our yummy anniversary meal! Spinach Artichoke Cheese Fondue, Lemon Chicken Pasta & Chocolate Peanut Butter Fondue! Nate came home to yummy smelling food and a handful of flower and the stool i have been begging for, for months! Since we still don't have our table back from refinishing it at Morgans we had a picnic on the floor and watch Xmen First Class. It was perfect!

OUT with the old and IN with the new.

Old: My job at Crafters Corner it was a bitter sweet ending but it was time to move on. I still LOVE crafting and do whenever i have spare time. I just wasn't getting any hours and thats kind of the point of a job is to have hours and make money its was just a bonus that i enjoyed it.

New: I have a NEW job at Vensure International its a great job and i am loving it! Its super fast pace and its an office job which i missed having! The only down side is the hours are at night while Nate is home and i seriously miss him ALL the time!! Hopefully it will get easier with time but for now this is the new.

Our House

For those of you who don't already know yes we got a house and we are totally completely in love with it :) Kinda funny story we weren't exactly ready to start looking but last thursday while i was at work Nate texted me saying that he had found this cute little house with a yard that would be perfect for us we didnt know if it was going to be in our price range but we thought we would go take a look. Our landlord luckily was at the house and let us come in and look around we were VERY interested. We filled out an application and he got back to us the next day letting us know it was ours we moved in that monday!! So in one short weekend we saw it, got it, and our now living in it. Packing isn't exactly my activity thankfully it wasn't a long process we are already completely moved out of our apartment and fully unpacked in our new house :) Here are some pics..

I was going to add pictures of the inside but since i've already added a bunch and this post will  be huge i figured when i finish all my decorarting plans i will compare the two on here :)

About Us

I'm Katelyn Sovine Jensen. I'm 19 and I am a full time student and Paul Mitchell the school I'm excited to be doing what I'm doing and glad I picked a career that I can go and have fun every day :P My husband Nate and I got married September 19, 2009 in the Oquirrh Mountain Temple and I couldn't be happier! Being a wife is a whole new experience there is a lot I still need to learn.. but I'm loving everything about it. Nate is almost 22 and works full time for a company called B2 Air Systems he has to travel every now and then for work.. well right now its more all the time but its not always like that. Nate loves sports just like any other guy so we spend a lot of time at my dads house ( we don't have TV) watching a lot of baseball, basketball and football.. okay who I am kidding if its on ESPN we watch it :) Nate played baseball all through high school and has been playing on a league out side of that since then.. I found a new love for baseball this summer going to all of his games. I laughed the other week after school and work we went over to the park over by our house and played catch and then took turn pitching for each other. The next day I was so sore! My ribs hurt to just laugh, and my arms felt like jello! Those are definitely muscles i was not used to using!


Brief run down on how we met and became Mr. & Mrs. Jensen we met when I was a sophmore in high school he was dating my friend and well we didn't get along AT ALL. So that couple years later when we were chatting on facebook I was kinda sceptical about going on a date with him but really it was one date not a lifetime commitment.. I had nothing to loose from it. Well that one date did turn into a lifetime commitment haha..He asked me to be his girlfriend about a week and a half later.. 2 months and 10 days after our first date on June 25 he asked me to be his wife :D I obviously wasnt that little sophmore girl he remembered and didnt like, but he wasnt the same guy either. I never thought in a million years that I would have married Nate but I am soooo happy I did he is the greatest thing that has happened to me I love him more and more every day and I really dont know what I would do without him :D

Im horrible at keeping people updated with things that happen with Nate and i or well with basically all things in general so i thought maybe a blog would be fun :) Nate and i are pretty entertaining and lots of fun things that we either say or do needs to be shared in a better way than facebook so i will give blogspot a shot :P
